Systems thinking in elementary schools

Yesterday, I found out that some elementary schools in Holland (in Limburg) are trying systems thinking in the classroom (pages are in Dutch only). Five elementary schools are running a pilot project. There are some pictures available.

I like this initiative: I think it’s the right age to start learning to think in systems and feedback loops, before one gets stuck in linear cause-effect thinking. What I also found remarkable was the similarity between the picture of 8 and 9 year olds doing causal loop diagramming and the pictures of the participants of our Systems Thinking workshop at the XP2004 conference.
